Bush calls for immediate release of dissidents

US President George W. Bush called Tuesday for the "immediate and
unconditional release" of many dissidents in countries such as Belarus,
Myanmar, Cuba and Vietnam.

"I call for the immediate and unconditional release of your loved ones,"
Bush said, addressing a conference in Prague that assembled dissidents
from across the world.

The US president highlighted leading dissidents from Belarus, Myanmar,
Cuba, Vietnam and Egypt who could not attend the conference "because
they were unjustly imprisoned or held under house arrest.
